Miles started his internet career in the late nineties as a web developer for the then leading internet magazine Red Herring. Living and working in San Francisco during the rise and fall of the dot com era taught him the value of being part of a solid product.
2002 saw the creation of a new design firm by the name of Giant Mango Industries which was co-founded by Miles. A few years later saw a consolidation of partners and Giant Mango re-brand as Miles D Marketing. Miles has directed the company to work with such great brands as the St. Cardinals, Ford, Hunt Construction, Digital Planet, and Beatrice Biodiesel to name a few.
